If you've been enjoying Shovel Knight on your Wii U or your Nintendo 3DS, chances are you don't live in Europe or Australia. The game hasn't launched there yet, despite being available in North America for several months now. The developers realize this long delay in releasing the game to a significant portion of the world has frustrated a few people, so they're making amends by offering several different things to their European and Australian customers.
The first is a special Nintendo 3DS theme based around the game for free, as a thanks for being patient. The second is a cross-platform discount, meaning if you buy the game on one platform, you can get a 33% discount to get it on the other platform.
Here's how it works: if you buy Shovel Knight on the 3DS or Wii U on the EU eShop, you'll get a discount for purchasing it on the other platform! That equates to more money in your pocket that you can use to buy anything you want! ( like maybe some of our great Shovel Knight Merchandise!! ). But act quickly! The promotion will only last through 2014!
That's extremely kind of the guys at Yacht Club Games, so if you live in Europe or Australia and you're looking forward to playing the game, you've got a great discount available if you decide you want to play it on both your Wii U and your Nintendo 3DS.
